QuHomes makes leasing an off-campus home easy for both students and parents. Leases and payments are all submitted through out website. All of the homes in our portfolio are legally permitted to be rented to local University students. Each house meets all Connecticut and Town of Hamden zoning, health, fire and occupancy codes. Our homes are rented on a first-come, first-served basis to the most qualified applicant.
We require all students without proof of employment to have a financially qualified guarantor. Often times this is a parent, sibling or friend. Guarantors are required to sign a guarantee of lease. A sample can be found on our Off-Campus FAQ page. A quick call with management about the roles of the landlord, guarantor and tenants is required prior to lease signing. Required documents for tenants and their guarantors include: photo ID and a notarized guarantee of lease.
